Deep Roots Bible Curriculum
Impact Students’ Behavior
The truth of the Bible is meant to be integrated into students’ daily lives so they will learn to make choices that will honor God. Character traits, case studies and discussions will work toward this aim, training students to see that behavior is not an external issue of trying harder, but a heart issue motivated out of gratitude toward God. An additional aim within life application is one of wholeness for the Christian student, void of a secular-sacred split. As students begin to see God at the center of all things and as the source of all areas of knowledge, they will no longer be tempted to live bifurcated lives in which sacred ideas have no bearing on secular and vice versa.
With the foundation of apologetics, worldview studies, and the ability to engage in culture at its foundational core, they will be equipped to fearlessly walk—knowing God and His ways and the world’s challenges to God—and be confident and conversant about the total truth Christianity offers. Unlike the double-minded man in James 1:6-8, this will lead to wholeness of mind, heart and action.

Instill a Biblical Worldview
The goal of this curriculum is to train students to have a biblical worldview or in other words, to see everything from God’s perspective. Christianity is too often segregated from daily life rather than being integrated into every aspect of a person’s existence. While many Christians may believe they hold a biblical worldview, research shows otherwise.
To develop a biblical worldview faith must be integrated into every area of life, affecting the very fiber of who the students are and how they live. As Dutch statesman and theologian Abraham Kuyper stated, “...there is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: `Mine!`” The students must understand that Jesus is sovereign over their emotions, attitudes, speech, and actions, as well as their cell phones, entertainment, hobbies, homework, and relationships.
